Taking
Care of your new Turf
Turf is a living plant and needs to be looked after. If you
want to keep your lawn in good condition, you will need to:
- Water when needed (i.e. with a water
sprinkler)
- Weed and feed when needed (preferably a nitrogen based
fertilizer)
- Cut or mow the grass when needed.
If these simple steps are followed, the care of your lawn is
very easy. When your turf is newly laid do not mow it until it has
taken which is dependent on weather conditions. If your turf is laid in hot weather you will need to water it
more often with sprinklers to stop shrinkage.
Golden Rule
Don't try to create a bowling green look, it is far too much
work. Aim instead for a utility lawn which is much easier to maintain.
